To be a CEO is not so difficult
Right now, I am on my way back home, on a metro train. While my car, is sitting in the parking lot of my office, full of supermarket groceries inside.
Well, I am not really a CEO. It’s just a tease from my gf. She said I am the Chief Entertainment Officer since I joined the Fun Committee of the company, which is a group of people who runs activities and brings fun to the whole company. Luckily, I am the head of the committee, “CEO”, ha!
This should be the third time I have been leading a company wide activity. So far, most of the process has been fun and I am feeling very good of my works. The unfun part, if I have to name one, is probably the budget part;)
when I was preparing for the X’mas party, I have no party experience at all. I just attended one or two before which are not very sucessful. So, that party became my company activity lesson 1. I learnt a lot, experience, tips, coworkers, sales people, suppliers, everything a “CEO” should know. You may see some of my sharing if you keep reading my blog.
Running a party is like running a project. You need a lot of people to help you with this and that. Luckily again, I got a great team of people who are my “EO”s. They got great sense of teamwork, strong passion to work better, and a lot of cool, funny, creative ideas. I let them take more and more work while the parties became better and better.
I am not yet very confident to do a survey for the parties we have done. Maybe I will be for the next one. Hope they want me to stay in the committee where I can use my extra creativity.
Great, home now!
