Finally, after a week’s anxious waiting, I managed to make the new AP working!
Today, I went to one of the biggest computer markets in Shanghiai – the “Pacific Digital Square”. I found a DC power adapter that perfectly suits my AP, a 12V/1.25A switch. However, it costs me RMB$50.
I opened the case of the AP, remade the connectors on both the AP and switch, connected them using a piece of wire and then seal the case again. Viva! It works like fly! Now I am enjoying the 54Mbps high speed and the super stability of Microsoft’s Wireless Base Station.

Finally, I got my gmail account with the help of Matt Haughey (friend on webhostingtalk). Thank you Matt!
The new mysterious 1GB email service is still under its beta test. Its founder – Google, only invites limited people to join the beta testing program. A lot of news and rumors about gmail have made this service even more mystic. I am so lucky to try it now.
From now I will share some screenshots and experience in some posts here.
Hopefully, I will be eligible to invite more people to try this fantastic service soon. If you want an invitation, please leave your name, email, and at least one reason that you wanna get it;)

Today, I finally got my Microsoft Wireless Kit (MN-820). Only for $73.95!!
It includes a IEEE802.11g(54M) wireless AP and a PCMCIA card. It’s really a good deal.
However, since the AC adapter is big and heavy, my friend dumped it before coming back:( Now I have to find a 12V/1A AC adapter for test it. Anyway, it won’t be long and I will post more details soon.
By the way, Microsoft has announced to discontinue all wireless products. If you decided or decide to buy it, be quick!
